Jobsite X
Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JobsiteX, Inc. (“Jobsite X,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use the Jobsite X website, iOS and Android apps, and related services (the “Platform”).
It applies to contractors, drivers and carrier personnel, business representatives, website visitors, and anyone who contacts us. It does not replace a third party’s own privacy notice. Jobsite X does not knowingly offer the Platform to anyone under 18.
1. Who we are
Jobsite X is a California marketplace that connects contractors who need dirt, rock, or equipment hauled with independent dump-truck owner-operators. We are based in Santa Rosa, California. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Privacy questions and requests: privacy@jobsitex.com. Security reports: security@jobsitex.com.
2. California notice at collection
At or before collection, here is what we collect, why, and how long we typically keep it.
Identifiers and account data
Name, phone number, email, business role, username, signature, and account IDs. Used for accounts, identity, support, contracts, fraud prevention, and notices. Kept for the life of the account plus any legal or claims period.
Sensitive identifiers
Driver license, government ID, tax ID, partial SSN or EIN, and login credentials. Used only as needed for eligibility, tax, identity, and security.
Financial data
Payment method tokens, transactions, payouts, invoices, and tax forms. Used to process and reconcile payment, tax, fraud, and disputes. Kept for tax and payment record periods. Card and bank numbers are handled by Stripe; we store tokens and transaction records, not full card numbers.
Commercial and load data
Job requests, rates, materials, equipment, tickets, bills of lading, proof of delivery, and ratings. Used to match and perform loads, document service, handle claims, price work, and improve the Platform.
Vehicle and professional data
License class and endorsements, DOT / MC / CA numbers, insurance certificates, vehicle / VIN / plate, and qualifications. Used to verify eligibility, safety, compliance, and service category.
Precise geolocation
Device GPS, routes, and pickup / delivery timestamps. Used to match nearby drivers, show live job maps, estimate arrival, prove work, and investigate fraud, safety, or payment disputes. Drivers share location while on the clock or marked Available, including in the background when that permission is granted. You can change location permission in system settings; some features will not work without it.
Photos and user content
Tag sheets, load tickets, truck or profile photos, support screenshots, in-app messages, and feedback. Used to document loads, provide support, and resolve disputes.
Device, usage, and diagnostics
IP address, device and push-token identifiers, app events, crash and performance data, and cookie / SDK data. Used to operate, secure, debug, and analyze the Platform.
Screening and public records
Motor-vehicle, criminal or public records, sanctions, and authority / safety records when we run a check. Used for eligibility, safety, and legal compliance. Third-party consumer reports are governed by separate disclosures and the reporting agency’s notice.
Inferences
Fraud, risk, matching, or quality indicators derived from the information above. Used for security, matching, safety, and account review.
3. Sources
We collect information from:
- You, when you create an account, post or accept a job, upload documents, message, or contact support
- The carrier or customer that creates or manages your account
- Your device and use of the Platform
- Other users involved in a transaction (for example, a contractor seeing a driver’s live position on a job)
- Payment, identity, background, insurance, mapping, analytics, communications, and AI document-reading providers
- Public records, government and safety databases, insurers, and people reporting incidents or claims
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts, including phone one-time codes
- Verify identity, authority, insurance, and eligibility
- Match and coordinate loads, including live map tracking
- Calculate quotes, ETAs, fees, and payouts
- Process payments and taxes
- Send account texts (login codes and invites) and in-app or push notifications about jobs and payments
- Provide support, including in-app chat
- Document pickup and delivery
- Investigate safety events, fraud, complaints, and claims
- Enforce agreements and comply with law
- Improve, debug, and analyze the Platform
- Protect users and our rights
We use precise geolocation only for those operational, safety, fraud, and transaction purposes — not for advertising.
5. Who we disclose information to
We may disclose information to:
- Customers and carriers as needed to complete a job
- Authorized account administrators on your company
- Service providers that process data for us under contract
- Government, regulators, law enforcement, courts, insurers, and claimants when legally required or reasonably necessary
- Parties to a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards
We do not disclose precise location or government identifiers for independent advertising. We do not publish individual background reports. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Processors we use today include:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
- Stripe — payments, invoices, and driver payouts
- Twilio — one-time login codes and account invite texts
- PostHog — product analytics and (when enabled) masked session replay
- Google Maps Platform — maps, places, and driving directions
- Expo — push notifications and app updates
- SignWell — electronic signature of platform agreements
- OpenRouter and the language models behind it — reading credential documents (such as COIs and CDLs) and assisting in-app support
- Vercel — hosting the website
6. Cookies, analytics, and mobile SDKs
The website and app use necessary storage, cookies, and SDKs for authentication, security, preferences, diagnostics, and analytics. PostHog may record page views, product events, and — only when we have turned session replay on — a masked recording of a session. Payment fields, passwords, and other sensitive inputs are masked.
Browser or device settings can limit some of these technologies. Blocking them may break sign-in or other features.
7. Retention
We keep each category only as reasonably necessary for the purpose we collected it, including account operation, completing a transaction, safety, fraud prevention, tax, payment, licensing, insurance, claims, litigation hold, and legal compliance. When we no longer need identifiable information, we delete it or deidentify / aggregate it where lawful.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information. No system is perfectly secure. Protect your credentials and devices, and report suspected compromise to security@jobsitex.com.
9. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Update account information in the app or website
- Change camera, photo, notification, and location permissions in system settings
- Opt out of account texts by replying STOP
- Delete your account in the app or website (Account → Delete account), or email privacy@jobsitex.com
Operational and legal communications may continue while an account or transaction remains active.
California residents may request access / know, correction, deletion, and a copy of personal information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable; and receive nondiscriminatory treatment. We will verify requests and apply legal exceptions. Submit requests to privacy@jobsitex.com. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority; we may verify directly with the resident.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control and honor applicable preference signals.
10. Children
The Platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact privacy@jobsitex.com and we will delete it.
11. Mobile numbers and SMS
We collect mobile phone numbers and messaging consent — the number, the wording you agreed to, the time you agreed, and any later STOP — to send operational account texts: one-time login codes and invite links. Twilio processes those messages only to deliver them. We do not text job dispatch.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency is low — typically under 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy and will post the new effective date here. If we start using personal information in a materially different way, we will give additional notice and obtain consent where required.
